My Roll-Off-Roof Observatory
This 8′ x 12′ roll-off roof observatory was built in 2009 for a permanent installation of my C1400 Celestron scope on CGE mount. In 2024 the mount was upgraded to a Skywatcher EQ8pro. A solid pier is mounted on a concrete pile foundation isolated from the floor. Of course, other scopes and imaging equipment are mounted depending on the configuration needed. The observatory is convenient and I can start imaging in 10 minutes and run it remotely from the warmth of my home.
